About Us

My name is Damith Rulak. 
Originally from Sri Lanka, I have been residing in Zurich, Switzerland, for many years. Sri Lanka remains my favorite holiday destination, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of establishing something special in the hospitality industry—a place where guests can truly experience the warmth and beauty of my home country. With a longstanding background in international tourism, this project is the fulfillment of that vision and the beginning of my journey to share authentic Sri Lankan hospitality with the world.

Our Story

Our house was originally built in 1985 and belonged to my beloved aunt. In 2021, when she decided to leave Bentota, I had the privilege of inheriting it. The house was a classic Sri Lankan home with a traditional charm. Inspired by the idea of transforming it into something more modern, I began dreaming of renovations. However, due to my studies in Switzerland and financial constraints, I had to put my plans on hold.

Everything changed in 2022 when some close friends of mine from Russia, who I’ve known for 13 years, moved to Sri Lanka to obtain residency.
They believed in my vision and generously invested in the project, allowing me to bring my dream house to life.
These friends, who stood by me throughout the years, played a crucial role in the house’s transformation, supporting me every step of the way during the rebuild.

The house plan is entirely my own creation. Since no local architect seemed to understand my unique vision, I decided to design it myself. Despite the challenges, with the support of my family and friends, I was able to turn my dream into reality.

Since we opened the doors of our guesthouse, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting many wonderful guests—some of whom have returned to spend their holidays with us multiple times. Our goal is always to ensure that every guest has an unforgettable stay in our home, where comfort, warmth, and personalized service come together to create the perfect holiday experience.
